The Lifepak® CR2 is considered one of the fastest defibrillators and can analyse heart rhythms to decipher whether a casualty is ready to receive an electric shock to the heart. Equipped with network capabilities, the Lifepak® CR2 can transmit patient and event data to nearby hospitals and emergency services in real-time. The Lifepak® CR2 is a fully automatic defibrillator that replaces the Lifepak® CR Plus. As a fully automatic defibrillator, it is designed to support first responders in administering potentially life-saving trea™ent during sudden cardiac arrest. Once the device has analysed the heart rhythm and deciphered if a shock is needed, it will prompt bystanders and first responders to stand clear of the casualty. Ensuring ultimate usability, the device includes both pictorial and visual instructions that support the device operator during defibrillation. This also includes CPR coaching as well as a metronome sound to keep compressions in time. It also features a carry bag that affords greater convenience when transporting the defibrillator from its storage point to an incident in progress. For those maintaining the device, the Lifepak® CR2 includes a 4-year battery and pad life from the date of manufacture. Patient and event data can also be transferred via mobile network to nearby hospitals and emergency services, ensuring the most up-to-date information is available for medical workers.
