LIFEPAK CR2 Essential Fully-Automatic Defibrillator (DG)

LIFEPAK CR2 Essential Fully-Automatic Defibrillator is a public access automated external defibrillator (AED) designed to make rapid response to sudden cardiac arrest clear and manageable for minimally trained users. It combines a simple lift-to-open lid with bold graphics and step-by-step voice prompts that guide responders from first assessment through pad placement, analysis and shock delivery. The compact, robust design supports both indoor and outdoor placement in workplaces, community venues, schools, transport hubs and home or strata facilities where a reliable AED is required for everyday readiness.

The defibrillator uses a biphasic truncated exponential waveform with configurable energy levels to deliver defibrillation therapy tailored to adult or child mode. QUIK-STEP pacing/ECG/defibrillation electrodes are preconnected inside the unit so they can be accessed quickly using the red handle, helping to reduce delays between recognising cardiac arrest and delivering a shock. The same electrode set is suitable for both adults and children, simplifying decision-making for responders and reducing accessories to manage.

Clear, adaptive voice prompts use ClearVoice technology to adjust volume in noisy real-world environments such as factory floors, open offices, shopping centres or transport terminals. The cprCOACH feedback technology provides a metronome and CPR coaching at the correct compression rate, while cprINSIGHT analysis can evaluate the heart rhythm during chest compressions to reduce pauses and support continuous high-quality CPR. The Shock Advisory System analyses ECG rhythms and advises when a shock is or is not required, and the fully automatic configuration delivers the shock without the responder pressing a shock button after the safety prompts.

For connected models, LIFEPAK CR2 integrates with LIFELINKcentral AED Program Manager or LIFENET System to provide remote readiness monitoring, incident data transfer and software or setup option updates via Wi-Fi, cellular or USB. Automated self-tests run daily, weekly and monthly, with a prominent readiness indicator and optional alert tones to highlight when attention is needed. The system can send email notifications if the battery or electrodes are nearing expiry, if a self-test fails or if a connected device has not checked in, helping organisations maintain a high standard of AED readiness across single or multiple locations.

The LIFEPAK CR2 family is built for tough conditions with IP55 protection against dust and water jets, and is suitable for use in public spaces, vehicles and clinical support areas. Child mode is available at the touch of a dedicated button, immediately adjusting energy levels and CPR guidance for young patients without changing pads. Dual-language capability can also be specified so that users can switch languages during an event, supporting diverse workplaces and community settings. Together, these technologies create a dependable public access AED solution for offices, schools, sports clubs, construction sites, healthcare support areas and general household or community first aid preparedness.

  • Easy-to-follow guidance: clear graphics, voice prompts and metronome support responders through each step.
  • Fast shock delivery: preconnected QUIK-STEP electrodes and fully automatic operation help minimise delays.
  • Adult and child ready: one button selects child mode, using the same pads for different age groups.
  • Connected management: optional Wi-Fi, cellular and USB integration support remote monitoring and updates.
  • Rugged design: IP55 protection and automated self-tests promote dependable readiness in demanding locations.

Fully-Automatic is designed for situations where simple operation is critical. Once the pads are applied, the device automatically analyses the heart rhythm and delivers a shock if required, without the need to press a button, helping reduce hesitation for users in high-stress public or workplace emergencies.

ARTG Intended Purpose A portable electronic device intended for use by minimally trained responders to treat victims of sudden cardiac arrest. It is designed to automatically analyze electrical activity of the heart to determine whether a defibrillation pulse (shock) is required. If a shockable rhythm is detected, the device automatically delivers shocks through a pair of adhesive defibrillation electrodes on the victims chest. The electrodes serve both to monitor the ECG and to deliver the defibrillator discharges. The device is powered by a non- rechargeable battery and intended for public access environments
Summary Summary
Device category Device categoryWhat type of device this is (public access AED vs monitor/defibrillator). Helps match products to the intended setting and user training level. Public access AED
